Abstract

This April, we celebrate the 300th birthday of the great Swiss mathematician Leonhard Euler. Euler published more than 25,000 pages of pure and applied mathematics. In this talk, we will present some of his major contribution to mathematics, with particular emphasis on the famous Basel Problem. Undergraduate students will find Euler's mathematical thoughts very appealing.
