The algebra of functions, including polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions; systems of equations and inequalities; trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions; trigonometric identities and equations; a brief introduction to DeMoivre's Theorem, vectors, polar coordinates, and the binomial theorem.
MA 115 is an AGSC approved course. The standard AGSC number is Math 115.
Placement. This course is intended for students who plan to take at least MA 171, Calculus A, but who do not need the full two-semester sequence in precalculus (MA 112, Precalculus Algebra and MA 113, Precalculus Trigonometry).

This course is graded A, B, C, D, NC. The grade typically depends on a combination of class tests, homework, quizzes, and a comprehensive final exam.
