Maple Worksheets

To download a worksheet, please follow these instructions:

1. Click on the link of the desired worksheet.
2. Depending on your system, you may be prompted to save the file or the file may be displayed in your browser (as garbled text). In either case, save the file to a local disk (hard drive or floppy). Be sure to use a floppy if you are working on a lab computer.
3. Start Maple on your computer and then open the worksheet file that you saved in step 2.

One of the best features of a Maple worksheet, like other electronic documents, is that it is interactive and can be customized. Of course, the very act of working through a worksheet changes the worksheet. Additionally, you can modify the explanations in the worksheet, or add your own notes and comments. You should think of the worksheet on your local computer as your document. Remember that you can always download a fresh copy of the worksheet whenever you like.

Whenever you use Maple, please remember our basic creed: Maple is a powerful and important tool, but like any other tool, it is limited. Maple may fail to give an answer, may give an incorrect answer, or may give a correct but misleading answer. Be curious and a bit skeptical about Maple's output. Maple is only truly valuable in the hands of someone with good mathematical skills and conceptual understanding.
